The Committee on Registries and Health Information Technology (RHIT) works to support and advance the use of appropriate health IT within the various facets of the rheumatology community, such as research and quality improvement. As part of that work, the committee oversees the growth and development of the ACR’s registry technology, as well as other clinical and administrative IT efforts, such as rheumatology data standards. The Research and Publications Subcommittee, a subcommittee of RHIT, oversees the processes and procedures associated with use of registry data for research purposes. They also conduct reviews of all requests for analysis of registry data to ensure feasibility and compliance with RISE standards.
