Creation of an artificial joint to correct advanced degenerative arthritis.
Increased range of movement of joins, and joint laxity, occurring normally in children and adolescents or as a result of disease.
Chronic, inflammatory arthritis affecting children and adolescents. Includes several types of juvenile rheumatic diseases, including juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. Symptoms may include joint inflammation, pain, fever, morning stiffness, reduced activity level, and difficulty moving certain joints. May cause some children to develop severe complications, including eye inflammation or rashes. Treatments include nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs, disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs, biologics and glucocorticoids.
