Joint stiffness upon rising in the morning; one of the most common symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Morning stiffness that lasts at least an hour is considered a key diagnostic aspect of RA.
Indicated for the prophylaxis of organ rejection in patients receiving allogeneic renal, cardiac, or hepatic transplants, and should be used concomitantly with cyclosporine and corticosteroids. Has been used to treat people with lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, vasculitis, inflammatory bowel disease such as Crohn’s disease, inflammatory eye disease (such as uveitis (iritis) and scleritis), and some other kidney or skin disorders.
