The REF preceptorship program introduces the best and brightest medical and graduate students to the field of rheumatology as a possible career path by supporting a mentored one-on-one interaction and real-world learning experience focused on rheumatology.

ACR REF/Ephraim P. Engleman Endowed Resident Research Preceptorship
This award introduces residents to the specialty of rheumatology by supporting a full-time mentored research experience.

ACR REF/Abbott Health Professional Graduate Student Research Preceptorship
This award introduces students to rheumatology-related health care by supporting a graduate student's full-time research in the broad area of rheumatic disease during an eight-week program.

ACR REF/Abbott Medical Student Clinical Preceptorship
This award introduces students to the specialty of rheumatology by supporting a full-time clinical experience. Students will complete either a four-week or eight-week program.

ACR REF/Abbott Medical Student Research Preceptorship
This award introduces students to the specialty of rheumatology by supporting a full-time research experience. This is a one-year award. Students will complete an eight-week program.
