Cover image: The figure on the cover (from Dell'Accio et al, page 1613) depicts an experiment to define the origin of adult human articular chondrocytes (AHAC) implanted into a nude mouse. Human and murine cells were distinguished by specific probes recognizing genomic repeats using arbitrary colors. These experiments are important in determining the capacity of AHAC to generate stable cartilage in vivo.
