image: These are award-winning images from the 2002 American
College of Rheumatology slide contest. A 40-year-old male with a long
history of heavy cigarette smoking presented with a one-month history
of ischemic fingertip ulcerations. Angiography of his right upper extremity
shows virtually no flow through the radial and musculocutaneous arteries,
and markedly diminished flow in the digital arteries consistent with Buerger's
Disease.
