Consultation Survey Results Still Proves Negative Impact for Rheumatologists

On January 1,2010 Medicare eliminated reimbursement of consultation codes from their fee schedule instructing specialists to only use the new or established patient codes to describe the work completed.
The ACR along with 16 other special societies participated in a survey with the American Medical Association in an effort to collectively gather data to show how this has negatively impacted physician services.
