The ACR formed its Quality of Care Committee (QoC) in summer 2004 to oversee issues and projects primarily related to management guidelines, diagnostic and response criteria, and quality indicators. As the QoC organized its plan of work, it recognized the need for a comprehensive set of policies and procedures related to all ACR quality measures. The document linked below is the result of several QoC and subcommittee discussions. It is based on these discussions as well as ACR experience in these areas over the past several years. The document has been reviewed and approved by the ACR Board of Directors, and includes the following areas:
Processes for development, approval, publication and ongoing maintenance of ACR diagnostic and response criteria, management guidelines, and quality performance measures for musculoskeletal and rheumatic diseases and related conditions
-
Internal structure of the ACR Quality of Care Committee (QoC)
-
QoC Policies and Procedures for Collaboration with Outside Organizations
-
