Membership Types: Clinical & Research Members

Clinical Member

To qualify as a Clinical Member, an applicant must:

  1. Be of high moral, ethical, and professional standing
  2. Be fully licensed as a Doctor of Medicine or a Doctor of Osteopathy and actively engaged in a medical specialty directly related to rheumatology.
  3. Be sponsored by two voting members of the ACR familiar with the applicant's contribution to rheumatology and professional competence, ethics, and moral standing

Research Member

To qualify as a Research Member, an applicant must:

  1. Be of high moral, ethical, and professional standing
  2. Be fully licensed as a Doctor of Medicine or a Doctor of Osteopathy and actively engaged in a medical specialty directly related to rheumatology, or be fully qualified as a Doctor of Medicine, a Doctor of Osteopathy, a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, a Doctor of Medical Dentistry, a Doctor of Dental Surgery, a Doctor of Public Health, a Doctor of Education, a Doctor of Philosophy, or a Doctor of Pharmacy and actively engaged in scientific research in the field of rheumatology or immunology.
  3. Be sponsored by two voting members of the ACR familiar with the applicant's contribution to rheumatology and professional competence, ethics, and moral standing
