ACR Fellows are board certified rheumatologists.
Clinical & Research Members
Clinical Members are physicians actively angaged in a medical specialty directly related to rheumatology.
Research Members are physicians or post-graduate degree professionals actively engaged in scientific research in the field of rheumatology or immunology.
International Fellows
International Fellows of the ACR reside outside of the U.S., Canada or Mexico and are either board certified or hold equivalent certification levels in their home countries.
International Members
International Members of the ACR reside outside of the U.S., Canada or Mexico and are physicians or scientists who are not eligible for International Fellowship.
Fellows-in-Training
ACR Fellows-in-Training are physicians who are in a rheumatology fellowship program.
International Fellows-in-Training
ACR International Fellows-in-Training reside outside of the U.S., Canada or Mexico and are physicians who are in a rheumatology fellowship program in their home countries.

Members of this category are either medical students or residents who are interested in a career in the field of rheumatology.

Masters
The designation of Master is the highest honor the ACR can bestow on its members and is conferred by the ACR board of directors. The honor recognizes members who have made outstanding contributions to the field of rheumatology through scholarly achievement and/or service to their patients, students and profession.
Honorary Members
The ACR board of directors confers Honorary Membership upon distinguished individuals who would not routinely by eligible for membership in the College, but whose professional performance warrants recognition by the College.
Emeritus Members
ACR Emeritus Members have retired from active practice or are permanently disabled. ARHP Emeritus Members have retired from active practice, are permanently disabled, or are Charter Members of the ARHP.
Health Professionals
Health Professionals are considered members of the Association of Rheumatology Health Professionals, a division of the ACR. They are degreed professionals in fields such as physical therapy, social work, psychology, occupational therapy, and nursing, and have a demonstrated interest in rheumatology practice, research or education.
International Health Professionals
International Health Professionals are considered members of the Association of Rheumatology Health Professionals, a division of the ACR. They reside outside of the U.S., Canada and Mexico, and have the same qualifications and privileges as Health Professionals.

Associate Health Professionals
Associate Health Professionals are considered members of the Association of Rheumatology Health Professionals, a division of the ACR. They have a demonstrated interest in rheumatology practice, research or education, but do not hold a degree.

Student Health Professionals
ARHP Students have a demonstrated interest in rheumatology and are enrolled in a health professional program leading to a baccalaureate or graduate degree.
