2010 Rheumatology Maintenance of Certification Course

This interactive review course is designed to assist rheumatologists preparing for the ABIM Maintenance of Certification Rheumatology Exam, fellows-in-training preparing for the certification exam and any physician looking for an in-depth review of the diagnosis, management, and treatment of rheumatic diseases. All attendees will receive complimentary access to CARE 2009 for one year. Physicians enrolled in the ABIM Maintenance of Certification program will also be eligible to receive 30 points in the self-evaluation of medical knowledge category of the ABIM MOC program.
Recertification Pledge
The ACR pledges to assist each participant pass the ABIM Maintenance of Certification Exam in Rheumatology. If you complete the ACR Rheumatology Maintenance of Certification Course and do not pass the ABIM MOC exam, you may attend the 2011 Rheumatology Maintenance of Certification Course or enroll in a current CARE module for no charge – simply provide the ACR with a copy of your ABIM test results notification letter.

The American Board of Internal Medicine’s Maintenance of Certification program requires rheumatologists certified after 1990 to renew their certificates every ten years. Part of the MOC program includes an exam offered twice a year. This live activity will help promote physicians lifelong learning efforts with while assisting them in preparing for the Rheumatology Maintenance of Certification exam.

The American College of Rheumatology is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians.
The American College of Rheumatology designates the Rheumatology Maintenance of Certification Course for a maximum of 15.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Health Professionals
As a division of the College, the Association of Rheumatology Health Professionals offers a Certificate of Participation. The Association of Rheumatology Health Professionals designates the Rheumatology Maintenance of Certification Course for a maximum of 15.5 hours of participation.

ACR Disclosure Policy
It is the policy of the American College of Rheumatology to ensure that its CME activities are independent and free of commercial bias. To ensure content objectivity and balance, and guarantee that the content presented is in the best interest of its learners’ and the public, the ACR requires that everyone in a position to control the content must disclose all relevant financial relationships with any commercial interest if the relationship is financial and occurred within the past 12 months. Programs presented at the symposium are for the education of attendees and purchasers of recorded presentations as authorized by the ACR.
