Ten workshops in two convenient time slots will be offered in 2008. This is your opportunity to interact with topic expersin a small group settings.

Each workshop is limited to 35 registrants. An additional fee is required. See the registration form.

Spring into your education; attend the State-of-the-Art Clinical Symposium in Chicago. The symposium will present up-to-date, cutting edge information on a broad array of topics in rheumatology. This year "Year in Review" sessions will be offered on Lupus, Spondyloarthropathies, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Vasculitis.

  • Clinical rheumatologists-academic and hospital based
  • Practicing rheumatologists
  • Physicians, including general internists and internal medicine subspecialists seeking a state-of-the-art review of the diagnosis, management and treatment of rheumatic diseases
  • Non-physician healthcare providers caring for patients with rheumatic diseases

Program Objectives

To provide an update of current knowledge in the broad field of rheumatology, accentuating the practical, clinical perspective. In addition to lectures, workshops will provide an opportunity for interactive discussions related to the topics of clinical importance.

At the conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

  • Evaluate recent advances and treatment of rheumatic diseases
  • Outline the directions of state-of-the-art research and future prospects in the management conditions addressed by practicing rheumatologists
  • Apply management approaches for patients with rheumatic diseases that incorporate recent research finding
