ACR PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION

The ACR and ARHP are committed to presenting superior educational programming for rheumatology health care professionals. Each year we offer a range of CME activities and resources in various formats designed to meet your educational and practice management needs, in your preferred learning style.

 WINTER RHEUMATOLOGY SYMPOSIUM

The ACR’s Winter Rheumatology Symposium is held annually in Snowmass, Colorado. This six-day CME symposium offers a review of the latest clinical and scientific information taught by key thought leaders in the field of rheumatology. An added benefit is Points-on-Joints, an afternoon of case-based presentations.

The schedule provides opportunities to learn, discuss, and network with time to take advantage of the recreational and cultural amenities of Aspen-Snowmass.

The 2010 meeting will be Saturday, January 23 – Friday, January 29, 2010.

Detailed information regarding the 2010 meeting will be available after July 1st.

INNOVATIVE THERAPIES IN AUTOIMMUNE DISEASES CONFERENCE

Designed to provide an open forum for members of academia, the pharmaceutical/biotech industry and the FDA to discuss cutting-edge developments in the treatment of rheumatic diseases, the Innovative Therapies in Autoimmune Diseases Conference, offers learners a unique educational perspective.

To enable us to present unpublished and/or experimental data in this unique format, the Innovative Therapies in Autoimmune Diseases Conference does not offer CME credit.

 PEDIATRIC RHEUMATOLOGY SYMPOSIUM

The Pediatric Rheumatology Symposium provides attendees with a forum for discussion of the latest scientific advances in this ever-changing subspecialty. Attendees will benefit from a format which includes abstract sessions and small group discussions as well as an expanded track created with a focus on a team approach to the care of patients with rheumatic diseases featuring topics for clinicians, researchers and allied health professionals caring for patients with rheumatic diseases.

The next meeting will be held in spring 2011.

Detailed information regarding the 2011 meeting will be available in 2010.

 STATE-OF-THE-ART CLINICAL SYMPOSIUM

A must-attend meeting held each spring, State-of-the-Art Clinical Symposium provides up-to-date information on a broad array of topics in rheumatology. Often called the “mini annual meeting,” State-of-the-Art is a comprehensive two-day CME review where clinicians can hear key opinion leaders discuss advances and controversies from the last year as well as the latest developments in recent months, without losing time in the office.

In 2009 hands-on small group musculoskeletal ultrasound workshops were added to complement the lunch workshops. In 2010, an Encore Theater will be available for attendees to view some of the most popular and highly rated content from the 2009 annual scientific meeting.

The 2010 meeting will be in Chicago on April 24 — 25, 2010.

Detailed information regarding the 2010 meeting will be available after September 1st.

 MAINTENANCE OF CERTIFICATION

This CME activity was designed to assist rheumatologists participating in the ABIM Maintenance of Certification Program. Modeling the ABIM Maintenance of Certification Exam, this live activity will utilize CARE 2009 to provide cases that focus on disease management problems and key advances in practice over the past 10 years. The course is beneficial for a rheumatologist preparing for the Board exam, MOC exam and/or just looking for a review of the diagnosis, management and treatment of rheumatic diseases.

The 2010 meeting will be in Baltimore on March 19-21, 2010.

Detailed information regarding the 2010 meeting will be available after September 1st.
