Who We Are
Established as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, the Foundation is the largest private funding source of rheumatology research and training programs in the United States. On average, more than 90 cents of every dollar donated is invested in Foundation programs.
What We Do
Since its founding in 1985, the Foundation has funded more than $116 million providing more than 2,300 awards and grants to medical and graduate students, residents, fellows, physicians and health professionals. Some 77 percent of Foundation grant recipients have gone on to receive funding from the National Institutes of Health.
