The Rheumatology Research Foundation is advancing research and training to improve the health of people with rheumatic diseases.

Who We Are

Established as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, the Foundation is the largest private funding source of rheumatology research and training programs in the United States. On average, more than 90 cents of every dollar donated is invested in Foundation programs.

What We Do

Since its founding in 1985, the Foundation has funded over $107 million providing more than 2,200 awards and grants to medical and graduate students, residents, fellows, physicians and health professionals. Some 77 percent of Foundation grant recipients have gone on to receive funding from the National Institutes of Health.
