The ACR/ARHP offers continuing medical education to improve the knowledge and performance of member and non-member physicians, scientists and other health professionals in order to enhance practice performance and improve the quality of care in those with or at risk for arthritis and rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases.
For Physicians
As a CME provider accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education, the ACR/ARHP is able to designate and award credit towards the American Medical Association Physician’s Recognition Award. When physicians have accumulated enough AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™, they may then apply to the AMA for an AMA PRA certificate. Physicians need to claim their credit hours after their participation in each ACR/AHRP sponsored CME activity in order for their credit totals to be accurately recorded and to be issued documentation of their participation. One hour of learning is the equivalent of 1 credit.
For Health Professionals
The ACR/ARHP also recognizes the participation of health professionals (non-physician) by issuing a certificate of attendance that references AMA PRA Category 1 Credit to help them document their attendance at certified educational activities. One hour of learning is the equivalent of 1 credit.
