Educational Objectives
The overall goals of the High Impact Rheumatology program are to increase knowledge of treatment for musculoskeletal diseases, and to hone the skills of primary care physicians in managing these diseases.
Participation in this activity will result in:
- Higher levels of confidence in diagnosing, managing, and communicating with patients suffering with arthritis and other musculoskeletal diseases
- Greater understanding of pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic treatment modalities for arthritis and musculoskeletal problems
- Being able to recognize the differences between Rheumatoid Arthritis and Osteoarthritis that will enable you to efficiently diagnose and treat these diseases
- Improved diagnostic skill level for regional pain problems and arthritis
