
You may be eligible for an ACR Research and Education Foundation Abstract Award or an ACR Fellows-in-Training Travel Scholarship.
Acceptance of an abstract does not automatically enroll or guarantee acceptance to the Fellows-in-Training Annual Meeting Scholarship or ACR Research and Education Foundation Abstract Award.
REF Awards
The REF offers an extensive awards program with research and education opportunities for students, residents and trainees. These awards are an integral part of REF efforts to ensure the future of rheumatology award opportunities are available for medical students, residents, and pediatric rheumatology fellows who submit an abstract for the 2011 ACR/ARHP Annual Scientific Meeting by the June 28 submission deadline.

FIT Award
The ACR Fellows-in-Training Travel Scholarship is designed to provide funding for Fellows-in-Training at U.S. and Canadian programs in rheumatology to attend the 2011 annual meeting. Learn more or call (404) 633-3777, ext. 812 for complete details.
Reimbursement Policy
- The reimbursement form
, along with receipts, should be MAILED to the ACR in order to be processed. - Please DO NOT BRING THIS FORM TO THE ANNUAL MEETING.
- Reimbursement forms
must be returned within 30 days after the meeting to be considered for reimbursement. If the form is not returned within that time we reserve the right to deny the reimbursement. - Reimbursements will be processed after the meeting.
- Food and entertainment expenses are not reimbursable.
Travel Information
- Only local Chicago attendees will be reimbursed for ground transportation (taxis and parking).
- Mileage will be reimbursed at a rate of $.555 per mile; mileage reimbursement cannot exceed the amount of airfare from your home city
Hotel Policy
- Reimbursements for hotel stays will not exceed $706.85
- Any incidental charges such as meals, parking or phone calls will not be reimbursed
The Fellows-in-Training Scholarship is designed to expose fellows-in-training to the ACR/AHRP Annual Scientific Meeting. This program supplements the advanced training rheumatology fellows receive at their training programs and includes an educational symposium specifically designed for the fellows and an evening reception on Friday, November 4, 2011.

Located on the 3rd floor adjacent to room W375E, McCormick Place.
A lounge is available to all fellows-in-training, residents and medical students attending the meeting and will have recharge stations and a place to network with other fellows.
