Annual Meeting E-News
December 1 Update
Thank You! Your Participation Made the 2011 Annual Scientific Meeting a Record-Breaking Success!
SessionSelect – Experience More and Share the 2011 Annual Meeting
Did you miss a session due to a schedule conflict? Were you unable to travel to this year's annual meeting? Virtually every session presented at the 2011 annual meeting is accessible through SessionSelect.
SessionSelect offers hundreds of hours of online recordings, including oral abstract sessions, allowing you to view the presentations just as though you were in the room.
Access is free for 2011 scientific attendees! We encourage you to use SessionSelect to hold informal discussions with your colleagues to let them in on what you got out of the annual meeting and keep the discussions and learning going.
Didn’t attend the meeting? No problem—you can order instant access to SessionSelect now. We also have a special gift for our members who could not attend the meeting. Go here to claim your gift!
You Spoke, We Listened: A Sneak Peek of What We Have Planned for Washington, DC!
While the scientific program will not be finalized until next month (but here's a sneak peek!), we thought you would be interested to know which of your logistical ideas will be implemented in 2012:
- We agree it is not acceptable for you to miss a session—more overflow areas will be available.
- You told us MY ACR was good, but the navigation could be improved—changes are coming and so is an app!
- You want to access SessionSelect on site—we will set up lounges for you to check out sessions at your convenience.
- You like the recharge areas and free Wi-Fi, but you want more areas and faster connections—we are working on it.
- You don’t want to wait for your coffee until the poster hall opens at 9:00 am—we understand and we will take care of that. And yes, we will work with the food vendors to make sure convenient food options are available.
- Although most of you opted to receive the abstract supplement on a flash drive, we understand some still prefer the printed format—both options will be offered in 2012.
- On-site childcare will be available once again—start making plans to bring your children to DC.
- You want more places to sit down and network—we can take care of that, too!
- You loved our own version of Jeopardy, “The ACR/ARHP Knowledge Bowl”—so we are planning to bring it back.
Planning is underway, so keep your ideas coming and submit your proposals for 2012. Revolutionary or simple—we want to hear it.
