High Impact Rheumatology
High Impact Rheumatology is
a curriculum developed to instruct primary care physicians about rheumatology
basics. Curriculum modules are available in PDF format, and in PowerPoint
files for download and use. Read the license and disclaimer below; if

License and Disclaimer
Please read this
document carefully. This is a legal agreement between you, the end
user, and the American College of Rheumatology (ACR). To have access
to and
to use the High Impact Rheumatology Curriculum (HIR Curriculum),
you must read these terms and accept them by clicking the "I Accept
this License" link below. If you check the "I Do Not Accept
This License" link, you may not use or have access to the HIR Curriculum.
1. License: This
License from the ACR allows you to use the HIR Curriculum for
noncommercial educational, informational and research purposes. The complete
HIR Curriculum or individual slides may be copied and used for
oral and written educational presentations delivered by you. You also
may modify
the content of any particular slide or slides. You may not use or share
this CD-ROM on a network without express written permission from the
ACR.
2. Restrictions: The HIR Curriculum is a proprietary, copyrighted product of the
ACR. You agree that you will not use the HIR Curriculum or modify,
rent, lease, sell, or create derivative works based on the HIR Curriculum
for commercial purposes.
3. Terminations: This
license is effective until terminated. The ACR may terminate
this License at any time in its sole
discretion if it determines you have breached
any of the terms of this License. You may terminate this License
at any time by ceasing to use the HIR Curriculum or any part
thereof.
4. Use of ACR Name
and Logo: You may not use the ACR name or logo in connection
with your use of the HIR Curriculum or any component of the HIR
Curriculum if you make any changes whatsoever to the content of the HIR
Curriculum or any component. You may use the ACR name or logo in connection
with your use of the HIR Curriculum or any component of the HIR
Curriculum if the HIR Curriculum is used without any
changes.
5. Disclaimer of
Warranty on Software and Data: You expressly acknowledge
and agree that use of this HIR Curriculum is at your sole risk. The HIR
Curriculum is provided "as is" and without any warranty of any kind, including
any implied warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular
purpose, or originality. No warranties are made that the HIR Curriculum
will meet your requirements, or that the operation of this software will
be uninterrupted, or error free. No warranty is given as to the accuracy
or reliability of the data on the HIR Curriculum. ACR assumes no
responsibility to modify or update the HIR Curriculum
to reflect new developments in the field of rheumatology.
ACR warrants that this
CD-ROM is free from physical defects in materials or workmanship
under normal use for a period of ninety (90) days from the
date of receipt.
The entire remedy for a defective disk will be replacement
of the disk with a new one. ACR will have no responsibility
for replacing a disk
damaged
by accident, abuse, or misapplication.
6. Limits of Liability: ACR
shall not be liable for any damages, including direct,
indirect, incidental, special or
consequential damages, or damages for loss of profits
or revenues incurred by you or any third party, whether in an action
in contract
or tort, arising out of the use or application by you
of the HIR Curriculum
or any component of the HIR Curriculum.
7. Indemnification:
You agree to indemnify and hold ACR harmless from
and against any claims, expenses, losses, or liabilities
(including professional fees
and expenses) in connection with any claim by a third
party arising out of your use of any component of the
HIR Curriculum which you have
modified or the incorrect application by you of the medical information
contained in the HIR Curriculum.
8. Tranferability:
The rights granted to you by ACR under this License Agreement may
not be assigned, transferred, or licensed to any third party.
9. Governing Law
and Jurisdiction: This License will be governed by and construed in
accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict
of law principles. All suits, proceedings, or claims in connection with
this License shall be brought in the courts of the State of Illinois in
the County of Cook and you hereby consent to the jurisdiction and venue
of those courts. If any provision of this License is held by a court of
competent jurisdiction to be invalid, unreasonable, or unenforceable,
such provision or requirement will be enforced only to the extent that
it is not invalid, unreasonable, or otherwise unenforceable and all other
provisions of this License shall remain in full force and effect.
