John Goldman Named Master of American College of Rheumatology

ATLANTA – John A. Goldman, MD; chief of rheumatology at St. Joseph’s Hospital and president of The Medical Quarters, P.C. was named a Master of the American College of Rheumatology at a session of the American College of Rheumatology Annual Scientific Meeting, on November 7 in Atlanta.

The member designation of Master is conferred by the board of directors of the College on ACR members, age 65 or older, who have made outstanding contributions to the field of rheumatology through scholarly achievement and/or service to their patients, students and profession.

Dr. Goldman is a former clinical professor of medicine at Emory University School of Medicine. Currently, he is president of Medical Quarters and rheumatology medical director of the Atlanta Center for Clinical Research. He also has a solo rheumatology, immunology and osteoporosis practice in Atlanta.

Dr. Goldman is former chairman of the Southeast Committee on Rheumatologic Care Network, Southeast Regional Advisory Council and the ACR Committee on Rheumatologic Care. He is presently an Ambassador for the ACR Research and Education Foundation and member of the ACR Antinuclear Antibodies Task Force.
