Volunteer Opportunities

The mission of the ACR cannot be achieved without the time, effort, talent and experience of its volunteer leadership and committee members.

The College welcomes self-nominations or nominations of colleagues for a position on an ACR Standing Committee, the ACR Board of Directors, the Rheumatology Research Foundation Board of Directors or a Foundation council.

ACR and Rheumatology Research Foundation nominations are due by June 1 and accepted candidates will be notified at the end of the summer. Committee appointments are made each year in conjunction with the Annual Scientific Meeting. Most elected terms are for three years beginning at the time of the annual meeting. Additional opportunities are available from time to time, so forms are kept on file for the following year or for consideration for any adhoc committees that may be appointed.
