The mission of the ACR cannot be achieved without the time, effort, talent and experience of its volunteer leadership and committee members.

The College welcomes self-nominations or nominations of colleagues for a position on an ACR Standing Committee, the ACR Board of Directors, the Research and Education Foundation Board of Directors or an REF council.
David Borenstein, MD, chair of the Committee on Nominations and Appointments, encourages "members of our organization to volunteer to be members of committees and propose potential awardees for the prizes presented at the Annual meeting. Having volunteered with the ACR for almost a decade, I have gained knowledge and experience that has been invaluable to my career. Do not be shy, send in an application."
ACR and REF nominations are due by June 1 and accepted candidates will be notified at the end of the summer. Committee appointments are made each year in conjunction with the Annual Scientific Meeting. Most elected terms are for three years beginning at the time of the annual meeting. Additional opportunities are available from time to time, so forms are kept on file for the following year or for consideration for any adhoc committees that may be appointed.
