The REF is partnering with the American Academy of Pediatrics to further refine the award and provide a balanced selection process. With the help of the AAP, the REF hopes to further promote the award among the pediatric residency programs and incorporate AAP into the peer review and selection process. For more information about the AAP’s involvement please contact Laura Laskosz.

The program has identified institutions where no pediatric rheumatology program or expertise exists. The review committee will invite up to 10 of these eligible institutions to participate in the program each year, and will match each institution with a Visiting Professor on a rotating basis.

In an effort to expand our list of potential visiting professors, we would like to encourage qualified pediatric rheumatology professors who have NOT participated in the program in the past to apply (see application below). For inquiries regarding prior participation; please view the link below of all past participants.

If your institution does not have a pediatric rheumatology training program, and you would like to participate in the program; please contact the Senior Specialist, Awards and Grants.
